Okay! Hello! Welcome back! I am alive!
I am also finally twenty.
I think it has been roughly four months(?) since I put a new blog post up, so a long time, yes. A lot has happened, I feel almost like a new human being. There are a couple of major things I want to tell you about…
Firstly, and definitely the best piece of news, I found the Lord!!! I am blessed enough to have been introduced to church by one of my dear friends. During my first time (YES FIRST!!), I encountered Him. I can never put into words what happened or how it felt; but it was incredible. My body felt lifted, and I just felt free and safe. I am so excited to be on this journey and to be a lifetime learner!
The Lord is so good, and he has such an incredible path for each and every one of us, and a lifetime full of freedom and love.
Secondly, I am still living in Australia. Honestly I don’t think life gets much better than this, I wake early in the morning; work in the most adorable little cafe producing coffee for some of the loveliest people and live on the edge of the river, so have incredible views always. Moving here has taught me the importance of travel, it helps to build your character, your people skills and your experience! Though I have suffered the most stress I’ve ever had to, I am so much better for it.
I encourage you all to travel as soon as you can, interstate, internationally, whatever your budget and home situation allow! For the youngsters out there, before you settle into uni – get out and travel, it will change your LIFE!!!
Thirdly, I am on such a health bend guys! I’ve lost two stone in seven months and continue to lose; to me, my goals are so within reach! I have the cutest little bike – so opt to cycle everywhere I can, and also (thank you Mum), fresh foods are so much more affordable! I’m learning to cook well, and how to not throw out half a fridge worth of food (again mum, sorry, I definitely understand how gross this is now).
The simultaneously best and worst thing about this is my new (for Australia) £60 bra is so loose I’ve only worn it like three times. Painful.
Finally, my mental health is so much better! Some may say it’s the sun, others will say its the change and distraction, I say it’s a little bit of everything! With such genuine anxiety about everything, leaving the house was such a task when I was back home. Here I feel I have had to just put my head down and get on with it, and ironically that has helped so much. I am also busy I don’t have time to think much, which is personally what I like. I’d like to give a big thank you to my brilliant Mother for posting my medication 11,000 miles overseas!!
Stay cool & read something this week.
